The Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Hematology is the only medical center in Uzbekistan specializing in the treatment of hematological and oncohematological diseases. The research institute is equipped with modern diagnostic and treatment equipment. Including we have laboratories of Molecular Genetics, laboratory of Immunophenotyping and Cytogenetic labs and e.t.c.

Scientific practical work and tests carried out in the laboratory of molecular genetics

1. Scientific works

- in the direction of the pathogenesis of congenital, hereditary and multifactorial diseases;

- in the direction of studying the formation and development of tumor cells;

-in the direction of studying hematopoietic stem cells

TYPES OF ANALYSES performed in the cytogenetic research department as of 2023

Conventional cytogenetic analysis (CCA, karyotyping)

Acquired chromosomal abnormalities
– CCA of leukemic cells for the purpose of diagnosing patients with pre-leukemia and with chronic leukemia (MDS, MPN, CML).
- CCA of leukemic cells for the purpose of diagnosing patients with acute leukemia (AML, ALL).
– CCA of leukemic cells in order to monitor the state of the karyotype of leukemia patients (detection of signs of clonal evolution).
Congenital chromosomal abnormalities
–CCA with PHA mitogen in the diagnosis of multiple congenital anomalies and disorders of mental, physical, and sexual development
– CCA with FHA mitogen in verifying the diagnosis of congenital chromosomal pathology: – Down syndrome, – Klinefelter syndrome, – Ternr syndrome, – Patau syndrome, – Edwards syndrome, – other chromosomal pathologies

Immunophenotyping FLO Laboratory.

The laboratory of immunophenotyping at the Republican Center for Scientific and Practical Medicine of Specialized Hematology is one of the main laboratories of the center, and this analysis is the gold standard in the diagnosis of oncohematological diseases in the field of hematology.

This laboratory is equipped with all necessary equipment, reagents, and consumables to perform flow cytometry immunophenotyping analysis.

The following analyzes are carried out in the laboratory:

- Primary diagnosis of acute leukemias (OLL, OML);

- Primary diagnosis of myeloma disease;

- Diagnosis of chronic lymphocytic leukemia;

-lymphocyte subpopulation analysis;

-Determination of CD3, CD19 in a patient after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation
